Heike Marita Hölzner is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and SMEs at HTW Berlin, where she researches and teaches topics such as Deep Tech and the Entrepreneurial Mindset.
Her current research project focuses on the performance of venture capital funds in Germany and Europe, aiming to create a foundation for mobilizing more risk capital and improving the funding environment for startups.
Before becoming a professor, Heike Hölzner worked in consulting and founded two companies herself. To this day, she coaches high-tech startups across Germany on team development and business model innovation. She is also a founding member of the investor network encourageventures e.V.
For her work, Heike Hölzner has received multiple awards, including being recognized as a Female Digital Leader in 2018. In 2019, Capital magazine named her one of Germany’s Top 40 under 40 in science and society. In 2022, she received the HTW Berlin Transfer Award, and in 2023, Tagesspiegel listed her among the 100 most influential minds in Berlin’s science community.
