Dr Robert Brüll

Founder and CEO FibreCoat

Dr Robert Brüll, founder and CEO of FibreCoat in Aachen, Germany, launched the company based on his research at the Institute for Textile Technology of RWTH University (ITA).

With a master’s degrees in mechanical engineering and economics, he started his Ph.D. at ITA in 2014 and later became Head of Technical Fibers. Co-founding FibreCoat in 2020, he secured over $25M in funding, growing the company to over 45 employees and expanding it globally as a leader in fibre innovation.

His work has won several awards and recognitions from industry and academia. As an active member of the start-up community is serves as representative for the German Start-Up Association for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
