Under the theme ‘Security and Resilience: Strategies for a Changing World’, we will explore the critical link between security and resilience in these uncertain and challenging times with insights from international experts and top speakers.

We are delighted to announce

Dalia Grybauskaitė, former President of Lithuania, and
Jean Asselborn, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg,
as confirmed speakers for the Unternehmertag.

Dalia Grybauskaitė is the former President of the Republic of Lithuania. She served as President from 2009 to 2019. She was the country's first female president and the only president in Lithuania's post-Soviet history to serve two consecutive terms. Following the deepening of the global economic crisis in 2009, Grybauskaitė resigned from her post as an EU commissioner to run as an independent candidate in the Lithuanian presidential elections. With her extensive experience in finance and economics, she won a landslide victory, receiving more than 69 per cent of the vote, while her nearest rival received just under 12 per cent – the largest victory ever won by a Lithuanian presidential candidate. Upon taking office in July 2009, Grybauskaitė focused on improving the country's economic situation. In May 2014, she was re-elected. During her second term, she prioritised Lithuania's military preparedness and welcomed a NATO battle group to Lithuania as part of the alliance's ‘enhanced forward presence’.

Jean Asselborn served as Luxembourg's Foreign Minister for almost two decades. The longest-serving EU foreign minister has now retired – but few have made such a lasting impression on the European stage. Jean Asselborn has left his mark on Europe and shaped Luxembourg's image in the world.
Jean Asselborn is a committed and dedicated European who stands up for the community's values, for freedom and democracy and for freedom of movement – always aware that all this cannot be taken for granted. For him, Europe is part of everyday life in the Greater Region of Luxembourg. Jean Asselborn is known as a man of clear words. He is an inspiring speaker – friendly, down-to-earth and authentic, the experienced foreign policy expertgives his audience new perspectives on geopolitical affairs and Europeanissues.
