Florian Langenscheidt at the Unternehmertag 2025

He wrote books about happiness, optimism, civil courage and gratitude, numerous newspaper and magazine articles and columns on language, media and business (including for FAZ, DIE ZEIT, SZ, Max, Capital and FOCUS) and is the editor of the “German Brand Encyclopedia” and the “Lexicon of German Family Businesses.” From 1988 to 2001, he taught at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.
Florian Langenscheidt holds several advisory board mandates, supports young companies with advice and capital and is the founder and chairman of the board of trustees of Children for a Better World. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the German Children and Youth Foundation and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the German Museum and the German Academy for Language and Literature. He is a founding member of BRAND CLUB and spokesperson for the German Founders' Prize Board of Trustees.
He received the Federal Cross of Merit and the German Donor Prize for his philanthropic commitment.
